William Morris Gallery Ride

William Morris Gallery

On Saturday Mar 23rd there will be a social cycle ride to visit the William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow. The ride will start at the Southwark Needle at 9.30am..

Despite little evidence existing on the internet any more, this is a ride which was devised about 10 years ago by Francis Sedgemore, the erstwhile chair of the eponymous Dog & Bell Crew. It has been popular ever since.

We should reach the View Tube at about 10.15am. There is a further 45 mins of cycling to reach the William Morris Gallery, where we will stop to walk round the gallery. Entrance to the Gallery is free.

There is an Overground Station at Blackhorse Road which can be use to take bikes back to London, if you don't want to ride back to London Bridge.

The 23 mile route for the ride is shown below and can be downloaded from here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/43414435.
