The rule we now have for arranging our rides is that each bubble of two makes its own mind up about what it wants to do. Given the poor weather on Saturday, there weren't many bubbles of two and those that there were didn't want to cycle every far. However, one of these bubbles was able to try out a new route from the Southwark Needle to Cutty Sark via Bermondsey Square, Southwark Park and the not-so-well-known Cunard Walk cycle path. The Dog & Bell was boarded up, but both the Greenwich Foot Tunnel lifts were working. Cyclists were vastly outnumbered by runners in Victoria Park, but, unlike in the last lockdown, everyone was allowed to use the park. There was excellent food at the View Tube and, unlike the situation in South London, there was hardly any queueing needed to get a takeaway. The ride finished at Haggerson Station, but, as the Overground trains weren't running, we had to cycle home.
