Women's Freedom Ride 2024

Mother Goose's Grave

What do we want? Digital Freedom! Freedom Riders were against segregation, not for it. So why do we hide women behind a purdah, rather than promoting gender equality?

Why should we let women be forced out of the digital spaces they do occupy?

Let's see what we can do to eliminate the root causes of all this - the pervasive threat of online gender-based violence and the under-representation of women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education and careers, which creates a major barrier to their participation in tech design and governance.

On this occasion we will be visiting numerous iconic locations in central London, including Mother Goose's grave

Starting and finishing at Haig House, home of the Royal British Legion, 199, Borough High Street, SE1 1AA.

Gender equality might not be top of everyone's agenda, but at least men can join the waiting list for this ride. Ride numbers are limited to 36, but perhaps men can join the ride if there are some representatives of the NW London and Chilterns Troll Farm that are willing to give up their places:
