Ride to the Woolwich Ferry

Woolwich Ferry

The Woolwich Ferry doesn't normally run at weekends, but on Saturday Oct 7th it will. This is because the southbound Blackwall Tunnel is being closed to prepare for works to redirect this route over the top of the northbound Silvertown Tunnel route from the A102.

This is possibly the only chance we will have in the next year or so of using the Woolwich Ferry for one of our rides. So we will be meeting at 9.30am at the Southwark Needle to do a ride to Woolwich.

Having crossed the Thames, we will stop for a mid-ride coffee break at the Well Bean Café, 1-2 Upper Dock Walk, London E16 2GU. We will then return via Beckton District Park and the Greenway to the View Tube in Stratford, where the ride will finish.

The 17 mile route for this ride can be downloaded from here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/44629547.
